This is a very sturdy boat, ideal for inshore angling, messing about on the river, or just chilling on the mooring on a sunny afternoon. Hydra is currently on a swinging mooring at Loe beach, and there is an option to take this on if required.
The engine has been fully serviced by Falmouth Harbour Marine Services. There are two batteries, kept topped up by a trickle charge from the solar panel on the cabin roof. There is an automatic bilge pump fitted.
The electric winch, originally for hauling lobster pots, makes light work of hauling the anchor.
The fuel tank holds about 40 litres and the boat is very economical on diesel. Steering is by chain and cable and is very easy to manoeuvre. The secondary engine is a Suzuki outboard but we have never needed to use it.
The spacious deck area is great for stretching out on a sunny day, and there's a swim ladder provided.
A new mast was fitted 2 years ago and there are proper navigation lights, a compass and a Horizon VHF radio.
